Students that follow these “Best Practices” on a consistent basis achieve at a higher level:
 
 

o  Attend school/class on a regular basis. (attendance in school is KEY) 

o  Write all assignments in your Agenda/Notebooks 

o  Ask questions in class. ADVOCATE for yourself!

o  Seek “EXTRA HELP” from your teachers before or after school (don’t wait until you are failing) 

o  Read all required materials for understanding. (take notes or make note cards as you read) 

o  Complete all assignments on time. 

o  Complete missed assignments when absent. 

o  Study/Prepare for class each night and on weekends. (always be prepared) 

o  There is no substitute for hard work and consistent dedication. (study smart and efficient)
 

Utilize itslearning 

Note Cards: terms, vocab, formulas, definitions...etc 

Re-write or type notes in a more simplistic form 

Read notes into a tape recorder...listen 

Use the weekends to prepare for the week....2 hrs on both Sat/Sun
